Road Rash
Here's the story: Josh and Noah were riding bikes in the driveway. Noah tried to cut too close to Josh's bike, and they wrecked. Josh came out unscathed. Noah.....well.....not so much. See pictures below.
"Thus far the Lord has helped us" 1 Samuel 7:12 An Ebenezer is a rock of remembrance. It is a memorial to the fact that the Lord has helped so far, and it's an expression of trust that He will continue to do so. That's really what this blog has become for me: a record of how the Lord has helped me so far, and hope for His grace in the future. Here I raise my Ebenezer!

I also wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 30 is really not old!! I am telling myself that about 40.
Finally, I was expecting you to say what you did about your diet. I've never done anything as rigid as you, but there was a time when I ate pretty healthy for awhile and then when I had junk food (such as a slice of pizza or a chip or french fry) - it tasted AWFUL to me and felt awful in my stomach. I was soooo much more aware of the "grease" when I had gone without for months. I've never totally gone without sugar though. I imagined it would be the same for you, and I was right. THat is a powerful motivation to stick with the diet! I'm not a big cake person so it would be easy for me to give that up for my bday, but I'd have to have SOME special treat- ice cream, brownie, or something. Hoping there's something you can have and enjoy that won't be too far off your diet. Are you losing weight on this eating plan? You did NOT need to lose weight, but I know I'd lose a lot if I were on such a diet. Just wondered if you were losing weight...
And I plan to blog later today about the beautiful cake my friend Laura made for me! It has all natural ingredients, sweetened with real marshmallow frosting and the kinds of foods I can eat. Wasn't that thoughtful of her? I was speechless when she brought it out yesterday and told me she had made it just for me. :) I am blessed.
