365 Project: week 8

Thanks for stopping in!  Here's a glimpse into some of the events of this week:

I bought a new bumper for Seth's crib and put it up.  It has pictures of vehicles (planes, trucks, helicopters, etc) on it.  That first nap with the new bumper, I heard Seth in there just "talking" away.  When I went in, he was talking to the bumper and smiling.  Notice also the spit-up near that hand on the left--I had already moved him once.  So goes our life these days. :)

We've had some nice warm weather this week, making time in the stream behind our house a must!  This is the stream at low tide, and Noah about to jump in.

We all sat out there to watch Noah in the water.

What trip to Cracker Barrel would be complete without a game of checkers?  Josh won.

Candlelight breakfast!  We woke up one morning to thunderstorms, and our power promptly went out.  Note that there are two times when it's Really Bad to lose power: when you're about to make supper, or when you're trying to get everyone out the door in the morning.  But what can you do?  We made the best of it, and enjoyed having cereal for breakfast by candle light instead of our usual eggs and toast.

Seth turned 3 months old, and to celebrate, he learned to reach out and grab something.  I noticed he can also tell where a voice is coming from (turns his head toward the sound).

Oh brother.  I lost my keys for 4 days this week, but thankfully after much prayer, somehow the Lord prompted me to look under Seth's carseat base in the car.  And voila!  There they were.  Amazingly enough.

Brianne, Titus, and Libby came over while their parents ran some errands.  Brianne made a picture of a tent.

Spring soccer season has begun!  Noah is on the same team as last season, we liked it so much.  We get along really well with the other parents and kids on the team, and we love the coach.

And so went our week!  I'm grateful to the Lord for giving us grace for every day.  "Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow: blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!"  Indeed.
