365 Project; week 50!

When we put up our Christmas tree, I thought for sure Seth would be all over it; climbing it, pulling on it, etc.  Nope!  He barely touches it.  This was a rare moment of ornament exploration.  He does from time to time throw things at the tree, which I think is him trying to hang more things on!

My view of Noah's class singing "Go Tell It On the Mountain" at a special breakfast they had.  My apologies that I also had a great view of this mom's "A" tattoo. :(

The next few photos are from our annual Ladies' Christmas party.  Jen, you have a cookie on your face!  This game you see here is called "Face the Cookie."  You have to put a cookie on your forehead and try to get it to your mouth...using only your face!  This is quite hysterical to watch. :)

One of our tasks this week was to take our family photo for our Christmas card.  Just being honest with you, this hardly ever turns out to be a blessing for me.  Finding a good time, clean clothes that don't clash with each other, everyone in good spirits, smiling...is our family the only one that struggles with this?  ANYWAY, all that to say that this photo was me figuring out the timer setting on our camera.  It worked!

Josh and Noah spent Saturday building a place to store our jetski for the winter.

And the final product on that Christmas photo!  This could have been so much better on so many levels, but at some point you just have to call it good, accept the photo and move on. For the sake of everybody's sanity. :)

Douglas (from our church) invited everyone out for an afternoon of baking!  He used to own a bakery in New York, where he made all kinds of delicious confections, and he was kind enough to teach us how to do it too!  There was a lot of math involved, because his recipes were the ones he actually used in the bakery, where he had to make large quantities of everything.  A recipe might call for "a quart of eggs" (which is 20, in case you were wondering) or "18lbs of cream cheese", which I don't know if I've ever bought that much cream cheese TOTAL over the course of my life! :)

This was about half of what we made that day!

All in all, a good week!  Praising the Lord for this Christmas season and the gifts He gives!
