Daily Schedule

We are excited and looking forward to some fellowship with Matt and Jen, Lord willing, this coming Friday night as we celebrate Libby's 9th birthday. Libby was born on November 1, so most years they have done a dress-up/costume party to celebrate the fact that she wasn't born on Halloween! :) Eden is super excited to wear her princess dress that I bought at a yard sale a few weeks ago. My boys never have really embraced costume wearing, but Eden seems to like dressing up.

I know I mentioned posting our routine, and I think I'll do that now. Not because it's the surest way to get more readers (it's not), but because it's for posterity. Here's what we're usually up to now that we're not homeschooling:

6:30am I get up, have time with the Lord

7:15 I make breakfast, Noah makes lunches for himself and Josh

7:25 Breakfast for as many of the family as are up. I make it my ambition never to wake a sleeping preschooler, if I can help it. *wink*

7:45/8:00 Take the boys to school (sometimes Noah rides his scooter to school, depending on the day and whether he has all his school books with him or not)

8:30 Regroup, talk/plan/spend time with Josh, see him off for the day

9:00 Set up Eden to watch a show, I exercise

9:30 Shower

10:00 Eden and Mommy time (free play, run errands, go on outings, clean house, bake)

11:15 Eden roomtime (play in her room without interaction from me) while I do some chores

12:00 Lunch

12:30 clean up lunch

12:45 Read aloud time

1:00 Eden "nap" (in which she lays down in her bed and doesn't sleep. It's okay though!), I work on art projects or computer work, or read.

2:00 Eden up, go outside or play with me, or help me do something

2:45 Go get the boys

3:15 Snack time

3:30 Homework/free play

4:30 Make supper

5:15 Eat dinner

6:00-9:00 Family time

Now, the whole first quarter of school was soccer season at Harvest, so 3-4 afternoons a week we had either soccer practice or a game to go to, which made life busier. We also have James (a co-worker and mentee of Josh) over for dinner most Monday nights, church via Zoom call on Wednesday nights, and soccer practice for both boys continuing for the next few Thursday nights.  So that schedule is the default, which captures mostly what we do with our time.
